CCT will host a "Day of Learning" on Friday, August 8, 2025.

The day will feature a series of sessions focussed on computational thinking and its applications across a variety of disciplines. These sessions will be concurrent with useR! 2025 conference sessions on the same day.

Attendees will be introduced to the foundations of computational thinking and will learn what it means to think critically about how to solve computational problems. The day's events will also feature a series of short talks that will demonstrate how experts at Duke use computational tools to address questions in fields ranging from computational biology to the visual arts. The day will end with a panel discussion about the future of computational thinking. Registration is open to everyone (including useR conference attendees), and is free.
